Kadai paneer recipe in hindi: Kadai paneer is made up of with kadai masala, bell peppers, tomatoes, kasuri methi & paneer. But shahi paneer uses none of these ingredients except for paneer. Kadai paneer is spicy & not creamy or sweet.

Ingredients used to make Kadai paneer recipe

For Kadai Masala:

Coriander seeds1 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli4-5
Peppercorns1 1/2 tsp
Salt1 tsp
for kadai masala

For Kadai paneer:

Oil 1 tsp
Cumin seeds1 tsp
Inch ginger, chopped1
Large Onion, chopped2
Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Degi chilli powder1 tsp
Coriander powder1 tsp
Large tomatoes, puree2

Steps used to make Kadai paneer recipe in Hindi

  1. Hello friends, today we will prepare Kadhai paneer.

2. The ingredients used are- 250 gms paneer, Capsicum (half), Onion (one,small) separate the various layers,

3. 1 tsp salt, paste of one onion, paste of 3-4 red tomatoes. Use sweet tomatoes, not the desi ones which are sour.

4. Masala- 1 tsp zeera (cumin seeds), 1 tsp coriander seeds, 3 whole red chilies

5. We will first roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds and the chilies in a pan. We will cook our paneer in the same pan.

6. We will keep the flame on medium.

7. The spices will start changing their color and will turn aromatic. It will take 1-2 minutes.

8. We will take some oil in the same pan and add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste and cook.

9. Now we will add the onion paste. Keep the flame on medium. We will cook until the paste turns brown.

10. Now add the tomato paste. Flame is on high. We will cook it with the onion paste for 2-3 minutes.

11. Grind the roasted spices and add it to the pan. Cook it till the oil separates and color changes.

13. Add the capsicums and onions. Cook for 5 minutes on a low flame, covered.

14. Add a little bit of water. (2 tbsp) . Cover and cook on a low flame.

15. The vegetables are cooked and ready, we’ll add the paneer and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

16. Add kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

17. The consistency of the gravy can be according to your preference.

18. Its almost ready, check the salt.

19. Add fresh cream. Stir while adding the cream.
